Clap for Him: Lil Wayne smashes iTunes Record

New Orleans own Rapper Lil Wayne smashed iTunes record with his latest album "The Carter IV." Early last month Rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West released their album "Watch the Throne," which set the iTunes records for having selling 436,000 copies in one week. The album had not been leaked prior to its release. "The Carter IV" though, was leaked 4 days prior to it's release and still it sold 850,000 digital sales and is now scheduled to sell at least 1 million copies by closing Wednesday. Jay-Z said it best, "Men lie, Women lie, NUMBERS don't!" Congrats to Lil Wayne and the YMCMB camp. They got a win here! CLAP for HIM!

Basketball Wives L.A.??

I am not a fan of alot of these reality shows that come on television. Especially the ones that are filled with women. They totally portray women in a not so hot light. For the most part, women in these shows are either independent, desperate, groupies or gold diggers. Basketball Wives is one of the most entertaining, but it is also one of the worse shows to portray women. Here's a view of the 2nd episode of Basketball Wives L.A.

The Game: On GAY Rappers!!!!

First of all let me say, I am not a Game fam or am I very familiar wit his music. I mean, I've heard his radio singles and I've liked a few, but I've never heard any of his albums in their entirety. But when I saw this video, it made me want to take a listen to his music, mainly because I agree with him.

I LOVE gay people. Some of my best, funnest and most loyal friends were gay men. All throughout junior high and high school, I had male friends that were gay. BUT they were OPENLY GAY! Even then, I was familiar with "in the closet" gays, because most of the time, the guys whom my gay friends dated were supposedly straight, but were secretly seeing them. Some of the most popular dudes, who were dating several girls in the New Orleans area in fact had dealings with some of my gay male friends. So when Game speaks on undercover gays in Hip Hop, it doesn't surprise me.

I believe Rapper Lil B is one of the first to actually come out as a hard rapper that's gay. But when you look at certain activity of some rappers, their attire, even some of their song lyrics, it makes you wonder how many others in the rap game are actually gay and hiding it. Could your Favorite Rapper be an "Under Cover Brother??" I've heard stories of Moguls like Russel Simmons being gay, hence Kimora leaving him for Cash Money C.E.O. Baby. In the Jay-Z diss that Beanie Sigal put out he spoke on gay tendencies in the Roc-a-fella camp. He said he was that fly on the wall, he saw what was going on. Mr. Cee, the guy who put Biggie on and is very popular on the New York rap scene was charged with having sex in public with a transexual. He went to court and pleaded guilty. Rapper Maino says he's certain that he recorded with a few gay rappers. Superhead Karrine Steffans in her first "Confessions of a Video Vixen" Book indicated that music mogul Diddy took her and Rapper Xihibit to a gay club in Miami and had them looking at each other like, "WTF?" There was even reports on the blogs of a sex tape out on Singer Usher in which his wife was doing him with a strap on .....O_o Even on the local New Orleans Hip Hop/Promo/Nightlife scene, I've heard stories about some under cover guys. I won't mention any names, but we all know and love them.

Why are they hiding it though??? What are they ashamed of??? Why are they still dating and impregnating women??? I agree with Game. H.I.V./AIDS is seriously spread, because of stuff like this. This is one of the reason that H.I.V. is at an all time high in the African American community as well as in New Orleans. There are too many men running around undercover, afraid for whatever reason to admit their true sexuality. If you like men, be with men!! Leave us women alone!!! Ugggh..it sickens me and frankly I believe that ALL gay men in Hip Hop should be proud of who they are and COME OUT!!
