Blind Item: Chicago Bear Wide Reciever Arrested on Drug Charges

Apparently, Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Sam Hurd #81 just could not take the NFL lock out. He decided to take matters into his own hands and move that WORK!! lol Hurd has been arrested for possession with intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana. According to the indictment that can be pulled up on the Federal Website, a man who is now a "confidentail informant" was stopped with $88,000  in cash in Dallas, Texas. The person told the Feds that the money and the car belonged to Hurd. Hurd later attempted to get the money back. The informant told the Feds that he was to pick up 5 keys of coke for Hurd, who would distribute it in a northern state. After that the investigation on Hurd began and an undercover met Hurd in a Chicago restaurant to make a deal. Hurd went there  to cop 5-10 keys of coke a week and 1000 grams of marijuana after football practice. He told the agent that he and his partner already were moving 4 keys a week in the Chi-town area, but their original distributor didn't have enough supply or them. He even told the agent that he was a rpo football player..smh. After purchasing the drugs from the agent, Hurd walked out of the restaurant and was arrested. Phone messages and text messages to people in a California case are also being used in this investigation. Hurd's number was caught up in that also.

Hornet's Point Guard for the last 6 years Chris Paul will be heading to L.A. Although the Lakers trade didn't go through, the NBA along with the L.A. Clippers agreed on a trade for Paul. Chris Paul partied it up in New Orleans for 6 long years and will be greatly missed. You can't knock a guy for wanting to WIN! Best Wishes to CP3! Cash Money/YMCMB Signs Mystikal

Mystikal has officially signed with Cash Money. While I am glad that Cash Money is reaching back to New Orleans finally, I am not so glad that they chose to go with a veteran when there is so much new talent out here. If you are naturally N'Awlins like myself, you'd understand why this deal comes as a huge surprise to some. Back in the days, Mystikal had a beef with then Cash Money Records group U.N.L.V. and various diss tracks were made among-st the two crews. Of course, that was a long time ago and I'm certain that bread is more important to Mystikal these days than some past rap feud. Funk Flex dropped the first track from Mystikal's 1st Cash Money album yesterday. It features Baby and Lil Wayne.  Check it out.....

New Book: : "The Little WhoDat Who Didn't"

New Orleans native Alexander McConduit will be holding his first book signing this Saturday Dec. 17th in the French Quarters at "A Tisket A Tasket" Bookstore from 2-4 pm. Alex, a Loyola graduate, is a writer and a social media specialist. Canibus Disses J. Cole

The country's experienced a recession and Throwback Rapper Canibus is making it obvious that he is one of the people in need of some cash. He dropped a diss record about new comer  J.Cole. J.Cole has repeatedly mentioned that Canibus is his favorite rapper. Why would you diss someone who obviously idols you, unless you were just desperate!? Canibus isn't too proud to beg either. In the diss record, he states, "it's more than that/we could've recorded a track/you could've given me a stack for a verse, just like that."

Let me say this, I had alot of respect for Canibus. I was a fan of his back in the day and had his albums. I can still recite his lyrics, but to diss someone who paid homage to you is just classless. SMH....the pioneers have got to do better.
